Who we are

Hi, I’m Lydia. My mother, Elise, and I own and operate Velvet Furn. out of Canaan, NH.

We have always been close. We have travelled the world together, sharing delicious food and unforgettable moments both big and small. When I moved home during the pandemic, we found ourselves craving a new challenge. With Elise’s sewing skills and my grit to get any job done, we dove head first into upholstery. We taught ourselves everything, making mistakes and finding so much joy along the way. I’ve since moved out, and found a home just down the road that houses our very own workshop.
